Seeing Pop-Pop’s memories, Amelia learns that her parents were from Rafkon and abandoned her to save her from Area 62’s destruction. Therefore, Amelia can sprout antennae like Zayto and Aiyon.

This was out of left field for me. But not in a bad way. It was a real surprise and a good way to connect Amelia’s family drama with Rafkon’s story.

My one big gripe about revealing Amelia as a Rafkonian is that we weren’t given a scene, not even a single line of dialogue, where Ollie is shocked and confronted with the fact that his girlfriend is… and you know, an alien. . I assume there just wasn’t time to do it. But it would have been fun.

One more minor complaint: Amelia’s next line, “Guys, I think my parents were from Rafkon.” She comes out a little head for air. I mean… huh? You’re standing there with antennae sticking out of your head like the Rafkonians. Where else would they have been? To remove?

Amelia, Rafkon reveal, Power Rangers Dino Fury, the truth

Seeing Void Queen and Mucus on the set of Buzzblast was great. Sort of a “worlds colliding” kind of thing.

Low and behold, Void Queen destroys Mucus to further empower herself in her cocoon form. Excellent villainous moment for her. Only a true heel would sacrifice his comic relief henchman…

One thing I loved about this episode: It set very specific and concrete stakes. We learn that if Void Queen’s cocoon explodes as she intends, “everything in a 30-mile radius will vaporize.” We even get a bit of visual information through computer simulation. They could easily have gone for a much more vague and generic setup. Something like, “The Queen of the Void will become so powerful that she will rule the world!” This was better. Much, much better.

Amelia gives Ollie a kiss on the cheek just before the other Rangers spring into action. If they were going to give those two a proper kiss this season, that might have been a good place to put it. Oh good. There are always cosmic fury

As if it wasn’t obvious, Amelia gets a lot of emphasis in this penultimate episode of the series. I can appreciate that. He has been one of the best developed characters in dinosaur fury. She and Izzy could be the first two. dinosaur fury has definitely been one of the strongest shows on the female side of things that public relations has ever done.

The Rangers put together a new morpher for Amelia pretty quickly. A little too convenient, don’t you think?

When Amelia opens Pop-Pop’s memory safe and finds it empty, Izzy says, “I’m sorry, Amelia. That really sucks. Is this the first time someone has said that something “sucks” in Forest ranger? As far as I can remember, it is. Another memorable line for Izzy, I guess.

The music during the flashback sequences was quite effective. Congratulations to Bert Selen.

Amelia learns that Santaura (Queen of the Void) is her mother and Tarrick (King of the Void) is her father. Also, they are all Rafkonians.

The reveal of Santaura and Tarrick as Amelia’s parents was not a surprise as it was simply based on the flashback we saw in “The Invasion”. It was clearly them. Also, Amelia has been talking about her parents for two seasons. So you knew there had to be some kind of big reveal involving them. And the idea that they would be the Void Queen and the Void King made sense from a story and drama perspective. So he wasn’t completely out of left field.

That said, it’s a great time and a nice reward for the entire build. Besides, he didn’t expect them to be from Rafkon. That was a nice way to weave this family drama into the larger story of the series.

Once the Void King realizes that Amelia is his daughter, he returns to Tarrick. So Void King was defeated by…wait for it…love. very cheesy. But not to the point where I don’t buy it.

However, there is a giant catch here. Then, two decades ago, Tarrick placed Santaura in suspended animation after she was injured in the Area 62 explosion. He then uses the Dino Knight morpher to become the Void Knight. And then… nothing for 20 years? So what was she doing all this time while Amelia was growing up? Did she also go into suspended animation for some reason? Was she on some kind of quest? Could she have met other Power Rangers teams along the way? That’s a pretty frustrating and uncharacteristic plot of dinosaur fury. Unless I’m forgetting something…?
